2015 was my fourth year participating in AIDS Walk NY, and my second year leading Team Mile High, dedicated to a good friend from Denver. It is always nice to return to this event for many reasons: 1) It's the largest grossing single day event fundraiser for AIDS foundations in the country. 2)It's an incredible show of support from the city and community towards a common goal. And 3) It's a personal cause as my best friend is one of the people who benefits from this research.
Team Mile High rose to the occasion once again, with our team of 8 raising $445 in 2 weeks. It was a hot one out there this year, but without the stilts I must say it was still very manageable. I was so happy to see my team grow in numbers, and with so many new friends from my latest stint in Arizona both as participants and donors. We had a great time and I look forward to our continued expansion for years to come.
Thank you for your continued support in making AIDS history.
